HOME

Saturday is wasted as I shuffle my feet across the ground
City light and lovers fight and the drink soaks up the noise of the town
Where the call for no more reaches out from the warmth of the bars
And with drunken kiss you’ll surly miss the girl you’ve forgotten by the door
To the break up shouts to the drunken louts to the laughter in the dark
To the warmth of a friend say you’ll be there till the end to your little white lies
To the touch of a hand say you’ll be there with a man, well you only just met

Oh and all I’m trying to tell you
Well no matter where you are
I still miss you my girls
Oh, oh, I still miss you my girl
Oh, oh

This drunken life I’ve tasted as I swallow down my pride
Just the broken dreams and the sorry schemes of a man that really needs to hide
Where the bitterness hides amongst the lies, well tell me, tell me who am I
Just a message in a bottle, well like the others I can’t find
So let's raise a glass to the last to the ones we left at home

Sing a sing carry on till the night, knowing that she’s gone
Blame it on your life, blame it on yourself, and blame it on your man
If it’s the best you can do
But as the hand it falls carry on, well it’s all you got left inside

Oh and all I’m trying to tell you
Is that no matter where you are
I still miss you my girls

Oh, oh, I still miss you my girl
I still miss you my girl
I still miss you my girls
I still miss you my girl
I still miss you my girls
